Helena Long Goes Pro! (Again!)

Congratulations to our long time friend, Helena Long who just recently turned pro for Poetic a collective – a skateboard brand based out of Malmö, Sweden.

Helena has smashed it this year, with video parts in Poetic Collective’s ‘Fluid’, alongside Vans ‘Credits’ and she also made Front cover for Grey Skateboard Magazine, the first UK female to grace the cover of a skate mag!

FUN FACT: This is actually the SECOND time Helly has gone pro, the first being in 2011 for Rogue Skateboards.

Parallel x GSUK logo comp

Our friends over at @parallelskateboardco got in touch with us to offer this RAD package to one lucky winner 😱 and we’ve thrown in a few extra bits too!

To enter, we would love you to design a brand new logo taking inspiration from the existing @parallelskateboardco and @girlskateuk logos.

It’s up to you whether you want to use the shapes, colours or general vibes from either of our brands, it can be digital, hand drawn, painted or even collaged – get creative! 🎨

GSUK 6th Birthday Gallery

A massive thank you to everyone who turned up to our birthday party in collab with Nike SB at the weekend! 🎈

Kirsty and I both agreed that it was probably the best atmosphere at an event so far, there were smiles all round the whole day and everyone was so supportive of each other – really nice to see.

The lovely ladies of Girls Skate North East hosted a mini ramp and hip jam, giving out some cash and prizes to all who got involved, we love that the local ladies got involved and hope it spurs them on to host more of their own events this year 😉

We had a huge box of Nike goodies and had lots of fun throwing out cash for tricks – we hope you all managed to get away with a little something!

We couldn’t believe the amount of food everyone brought along, special shout out to the red wine pasta with feta and basil dish(!) as well as the purple marble cake with white chocolate shards – you guys went all out with those! Even the lads got involved bringing along brownies and drinks for everyone 😍
