We’re stoked with how many of the UK girls have gone out to volunteer with SKATEPAL in Palestine over the past few years, helping to build skateparks and educate children, especially girls.
This summer, Marie Mayassi from Leeds will be heading over to teach, read her story below then go donate to her fundraising campaign linked at the bottom of this page!
“This July I will be volunteering with SKATEPAL a UK based charity teaching skateboarding to young people in Palestine 🇵🇸 . I will be teaching young girls (according to Palestinian cultural norms) in Asira al-Qibliya a Palestinian town in eastern West-Bank.
Doing it in Palestine will be a great opportunity to give back to the community by helping these children with very limited access to education, sports and culture due to the occupation 🇮🇱.
