UK National Champ finals tomorrow! Olympic Skateboarding qualifying event

The National Skateboarding Championships qualifiers was held yesterday in Manchester, it is the first UK qualifying event of the year, where competitors will be earning precious qualifying points for Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020, with the finals being broadcast live through the BBC website today.

The 3-day event has featured a series of competitions which include: men’s street, men’s park, women’s street and women’s park disciplines.

The recently announced Skateboard GB team have been competing throughout the weekend, including Sky Brown, Alex Decunha, Jordan Thackeray and Alex Hallford (with Sam Beckett currently recovering from a recent knee operation).

Skateboard England Chair, Lucy Adams said: We are really excited to be hosting the first UK Olympic qualifying event for this year. With over 100 of UK’s best skateboarders already signed up, it’s set to be one the biggest skateboarding competitions of the year.”

Tomorrow’s spectator tickets are £15.00 and available through http://www.skateboard-england.org

The National Championships will be broadcasted live on the BBC website between 2.00pm – 6.00pm today, Sunday 14th April, with daily highlights also available through the Skateboard England website and other digital platforms.

4pm ​​Male Street Final
5.45pm ​​Results/Prize Giving
